A target of type Folder copies the built site into a folder on this machine. No connection, no network, no login.
That sounds like little and is the most useful way out this page has. It fits everywhere something else takes over afterwards:
- A folder a cloud service synchronises.
- A mounted network drive.
- A folder a script or a cron job of your own processes further.
- A folder you simply want to look at or upload by hand.
- A web server on the same machine.
What applies
The same rules as for the other targets: the content of the output folder is transferred, the preview shows beforehand what has changed, and Delete removed files in the target too is a decision of its own.
The exclusions apply here as well — see 6.7.
